She was at first. We were walking back from the parade, and it got dark before we could make it back. Part of the hunt chased us. I led them away from her so she could reach the cottage, but I couldn't make it back. [A pause, and then,] You were right about the arrows.

The Bond thing. Familiar bond or whatever it's called; Aerith and I talked about it before, and I read up on it.

I'm a Familiar, so I can bond to both of you guys. You can sometimes get powers and other stuff by doing it, and maybe one of those powers can help you two if you're ever in trouble.

I thought you hated Thirteen and all the Familiar stuff.

I do hate it, but it's not going away and neither are we. If there's any two people here that I trust and wanna take this risk with, it's you two.

[Honestly? Zack doesn't need much convincing. It's a valid argument, and the chance to make all of them safer sounds like a damn good idea.]

The only one I saw was about people who got labeled 'Familiars' bonding with people who are Legends or Myths, but I'll check. [Hell, it's not like research is his forte. He probably missed a ton of things] Maybe you two really should just attach at the hip.

Pretty sure that would make some of your makeout sessions a little awkward.

[Not that it bothers him that they kiss - or that he minds, uh, seeing it - but it might be weird for them.]

I'm sure I would, yeah. You know me, can hardly keep my mouth shut. I figured it would be me taking up more of her time at this point. Are you okay with it?

You already know I'm fine with it. [Or at least, Zack knows that Cloud feels that it's fine. Even if Zack was monopolizing Aerith's time, Cloud would make himself fine.]

Okay... if we're both fine with it, and Aerith's not complaining, then it sounds like we're still good.

Why did you bring it up? [Asking the real questions here.] Did anything happen to worry you, or are you just checking in?
