I offered to touch up Vincent's photo only to find out that it actually belongs to Sephiroth. I accompanied him to retrieve them since apparently Vincent shot him and put him in the hospital.

sephiroth's from our past. like ten years maybe? not 100% on the timeline. five years before we got here he lost his mind and went on a killing spree. he was stopped, BARELY, and went missing. then under a year ago he came back and tried to destroy the world. he killed aerith. vincent was part of cloud's group, they took him down.
when he first arrived here I had to talk cloud down from doing exactly what vincent did
Okay, I see why you didn't tell him that. But - maybe there's a way to stop him? Maybe that's what he's here for. We've got a couple people like that here, too. They tried to take over our world, killed a bunch of people. But they're not doing that, here. And I think most of them are doing better.

we wanted to watch and see how he acted. I've been trying to be his friend. it was better to let him settle in and see how he acts before we told him anything that might screw with his head

it's messy. he's been told his mom is jenova but jenova is a dead alien psycho who crashed into the planet forever ago and probably wanted to destroy it? so when he found a book about her he connected the dots and started following in mom's footsteps if you get me i never knew he had a photo of some human-looking woman that's news to me bc jenova does not... look like that
No, Vincent told him that was his biological mother, Lucrecia. And someone lied to him which caused all this. It can't have just been over finding out he was an alien, right?
Maybe now that he knows he's human, he won't try to kill anyone.
